I ordered a beautiful upholstered bed from Wayfair and it was great until I kept waking up to bites on my arms. I thought I might have been allergic to mosquitos because I never saw a bug in my bed and I have never dealt with bed bugs before plus the bites were only on my arms and forehead.

Then one night I saw a bug in my bed and I called my apartment and they had the pest control come in and they confirmed they were bed bugs and that they had come from the headboard. They didn't find any on the mattress at the time, which I ordered from a different company. But now we had to hire an exterminator to come in and we now have to either vacate the place or live out of bags for six weeks. I have not been able to sleep in my room for going on two weeks now.

I sleep on an air mattress in the living room because I am not able to vacate for that long. I am livid and have been seriously inconvenienced. I called Wayfair and they offered me a refund which was a little too easy and let's me know that the know about this issues.

I will be calling the corporate office and demanding they reimburse me for not only having to pay an exterminator but for me having to throw out a brand new mattress that I bought from somewhere else, also for my medical bills because my arms look like I had chicken pox with all these little black spots, and for any other expense or inconvenience this has caused. They really need to get this problem under control because people are going to stop ordering from them and I have no problem going to social media and letting everyone know about this problem.

Reason of review: Bed Bugs.

Monetary Loss: $5000.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Wayfair Pros: Dissatisfied, Quality and price, Product.

Wayfair Cons: Bed bugs my bed came with, Hundreds of bites on my arms, Living out of bags for 6 weeks, Quick to just refund you the money.

Just found out I had the same issue. Waking up with bug bites all over for a few weeks finally pulled the bed away from the wall.

Bed bugs all over the back of the head board.

None on the bed anywhere, just in and on the head board. Not even sure it’s worth contacting wayfair since it seems they do not care about this issue at all.

Omg I ordered a sectional last year December and had to exterminate bed bugs maybe 3 weeks later I thought it came from neighbors But the only thing that’s was infested was the sofa go figure

OMG I’m going thru the same thing only I just moved into a wonderful two bedroom apartment sun raise and fall I love it. I moved in with nothing in February 2021 since then I own a beautiful living room , dining room with tables and finally a beautiful sleigh platform bed queen all upholstery.

It’s now July and my whole house is infested with what I hear are bed bugs, I started going to doc n telling my adult daughters I’ve got bugs it’s COVID I don’t even go outside STILL so I’m confused told my grands they can’t come over till GG gets her house cleaned out they think I don’t want them anymore because GG always cleaning so why is it taking so long ….

Well at this very moment I can’t sleep anywhere in my home without getting bites, I decided to look up if I’m the only one !! Now knowing I’m not I have a valid course of action to follow and will Perdue next Drop mic

We purchased a gray fabric headboard and it was infested with bedbugs. Walyfair blames us but the professionals (exterminators) said it clearly came from the headboard and fortunately so far no other rooms, beds or couches have been infected. We are out thousands of dollars and Wayfair won’t help

I think I had the same bed too, does any one have a full size photo? I’ve been getting eaten alive for the past three months.

Welts on the body because I’m highly allergic. 2 hospital trips.

And have been living out of a suitcase. Ughhhh I’m so mad

I have the full photo and my daughter was getting bit up too. Don’t let them tell you no about paying for your exterminator.

I was able to have them pay 1,000 for the bug control and a refund for the bed. You have to keep calling and be a jerk to get it though.

OMG this is me! I have been waking up to welts and hives on my body, it took me three months to do the elimination process, and today I looked behind the upholstered bed and bed bugs everywhere!!!!!!!!! omg im so mad what the *** wayfair?

I’m having the same problem with the same bed you have. I’m beyond upset they should be stopped from selling beds and stuff in general. We shouldn’t have to put up with this.

All they offered was a refund? Wayfair have to do more than that.I had a not so good expierence with wayfair.i was looking for a specfiic desk chair.i wanted one with four legs not five.I only saw chairs with five legs.So i decided to buy one from wayfair for $50.Then i notice a chair on wayfair could not tell if was 4 or 5 legs.I asked question on web how many legs.wayfied answer to question was it had four legs,therefore i ordered chair.It cost twice amount i was going to pay for other chair.When chair arrived it has FIVE legs.not FOUR as wayfair said.I e-mail wayfair telling them how i relied on info from them to make a purchase that money was spent needlessly.Wayfair response to me was offer 10% off next purchase.Your experience many times worse then mine.Bottom line wayfair appears unconcerned about customer service or their customer!!

At least they got offered a refund! I have permanent scars from the sores from bites after buying bedding from Wayfair.

Night 1 the bites started and I found them INSIDE the packaging!

The phone rep told me that they could have been picked up by the Fed Ex route but INSIDE THE PACKAGE WRAPPING ?!?! I don't think so Wayfair!

Did you order an open box one? What brand was it? I got bedding as a gift and haven’t taken it out of the package so now I’m worried

I just got my upholstered bed last weekend. A day later bites have begun!!

This is horrible. I noticed it was delivered in an older used furniture truck. Not sure if their warehouse is infested?! Or these trucks.

I bought the same bed mull house felisa and have had the bed bugs ever since it came. It was my daughters bed and she stopped sleeping on it.

so we realized these were bed bugs . we got a quote with exterminators and they were so expensive . so we tried getting rid of them ourselves using strong chemicals etc. These bugs infested our other bedroom.

Finally we called the exterminators payed them a fortune and they showed us the bed bugs hiding behind the lining of the head board. we are asked to throw away the bed and mattress. I just emailed wayfair about this and I am waiting for their response. in the meantime i googled if any body else has had the same problem and I saw your post.

i am truly disappointed with wayfair. Do you have any advice for me.

These complaints are most definitely legit. My response from Wayfair corporate was simply a refund for the price of the headboard, but they gave nothing for the time and money spent eradicating the bugs or the mattress set that we had to dump because of it.

Rather than continuing to fight with them, I’m just spreading the word about their practices.

I guess you get what you pay for but nobody should ever have to go through that when purchasing abrand new piece of furniture regardless of the price point. I will stick to local, reputable furniture stores from this point on.
